Yup. Women entering the workforce and education is the single biggest factor for depopulation.

TwoX regularly laments how childcare is expensive and there isn't enough maternity leave. Then someone from one of the utopic Scandinavian countries filled with cyclists, equality, and smelly cheese says they have all of that but their birth rate is also rapidly declining
The discussion then goes to blaming the patriarchy, Andrew Tate, etc
Simple fact is, as you said, educated and equal workforce of men and women in a developed country = depopulation

Another important factor tied to this is the increasing age of first marriage and an increasing number of people just never getting married at all. If everything stayed exactly as it is now, but 90% of people were married by 25 (like it used to be) you'd see the birth rate naturally increase. Women have always worked, especially working class women, but their employment opportunities were focused around the assumed self-sacrifice women made to have and raise children, so those jobs were always flexible hours, part-time, easily doable at home, non-committal, multi-taskable, etc.
The global liberal promotion of equity, individualism and freedom heavily diminishes the idealisation of self sacrifice in both men and women and ultimately leads to a society of indistinguishable worker units who are solely focused on self interest with no intention of making the necessary self-sacrifices to build a strong and healthy marriage, and even when they do form it's more likely to fail and less likely to result in children, especially large numbers of children.
