Daddy Rossman is mad about refrigerators

  • Hope you're having a lovely day :marseyhearts:

  • LG makes refrigerators :marseyflagsouthkorea:

  • LG prints on their box which customers never see, a slip of paper inside the refridgerator, and in the user manual a clause that goes "lol you can't sue us" clause. Literally nothing anyone would see until after purchase, and you're probably not seeing the box even if you have it delivered and installed. :marseymerchant:

  • LG sucks at making refrigerators, so they die. Good thing there's a 10 year warranty! :marsey:

  • LG refuses to honor the warranty :marseysad:

  • LG also goes "haha you signed away your right to sue us because we printed it on the box and that's equivalent to you signing away your right to arbitration" :marseyxd:

  • Louis Rossman believes this is shifty behavior beyond the pale, unsprisingly. He orders a fridge and plans on refusing the order if that's the language on the box :marseyrefrigerator:

Is he like 4ft tall or does he have a gigantic chair??

Re: fridges

My Sears Kenmore lasted 25 years and the new fridges are such trash. Undersized compressor, tiny heat exchanger and capillaries made of garbage alloys. Everything is run of a single mainboard ($850 MSRP) so you can't do repairs

Problem is those older appliances were built to last, but what people don't realize is that they're built to spec. The problem is that spec is too expensive for most consumers. That's why buying appliances on installment plans was so common. So they've lowered their entry level specs to be able to mass produce and sell to a wider audience. Problem is that the specs suck and break easily, but they're cheaper. Hence the planned obsolence to keep people rebuying shitty appliances. The consumer doesn't realize unless they do their homework and most companies bank on that they won't.

I'm pretty sure it's a big comfy chair, but I don't know for sure. He's always filming from the big comfy chair.
