old.reddit.com now blocking access :marseybarrier: if you're using a VPN and no login

Up until today, you couldn't access Reddit while using a VPN, unless you were logged in. A workaround was to use https://old.reddit.com.

But today, you get the same soy-based message "whoa there, pardner!" on https://old.reddit.com too.

The greater issue is that VPNs are all getting on lists for servers to filter. So many websites are unusable with a VPN I've found that I have to repeatedly turn it off. My workaround is using my VPS for WireGuard so at least corporate networks for WiFi can't snoop etc.

Slap pi-hole into it and you have a decent ad blocker for your phone

Depends on your use case. For me the simple WireGuard script I used was easy, fast, and lightweight.
