I usually don't game on this laptop, and even when I do, it seems like the games I am interested in are available on there. The only thing I can think of is that I have multiple tabs open in my browser that I plan to one day read. I would lose them if I did it.

When Windows doesn't work it's Satya Nadella's fault.
When Linux doesn't work it's your fault. Probably you fricked up somehow. Even if it's actually a bug causing your problem, the source is open, it's your fault for not fixing it yet.

Usually it's your fault for expecting a functioning system when the shared spec clearly says otherwise and the moderators have closed all related as "WONTFIX/OUT OF SCOPE"

It's like when I tried to review transb-word's pull request and the code had comments about getting fricked by his boyfriend. You open yourself to constant psychic assaults.

Learning Linux is usually deterrent enough. If you are just going to use it to watch videos and web browser, go for it.

Installing and learning to use linux isn't that hard but it's gonna be more work than just restoring those tabs. If you're too lazy for that then you'll be too lazy to do all the other stuff too.

If you're not poor you can ssh into a second linux box. There is nothing worth having linux for that you can't do in an ssh session, and the windows terminal is great

Even the most basic of tasks will require you to type in some arcane bullshit copied from a 6 year old forum post that provides no explanation of what it does.

If you ever want to print it's a non starter. Laptops, unless well supported, have driver issues on linux and can work slower overall, especially the graphics.
Dual boot. I use linux for codecel shit and also any writing because it boots faster, doesn't auto update foreverially and the OS has fewer distractions

bahahaha on the tabs. Same same sammmme. Something I noticed too is that if you let Windows update without doing it manually, you get your tabs back. If you update manually stupid Chrome doesn't prompt you to reopen them. lol
I run Linux in a VM when I want to tinker (which is never really but it's there lol)
