Reading the comments the problems seem to be motherboard related tho

Yeah the design tolerances for voltages, bandwidths and timings on these modern mobos are just wacky. The prices show it too.

It's kind of funny to see that benchmarks are apparently the #1 selling point after all these years :marseyboomer:

I feel like current benchmarking strategies do give you a good idea of bottlenecks though. Not quite as kooky as back in the day.

Yet AMD boards don't have this issue despite :marseybipocattentionseeker: the boards being produced by the same companies, curious :marseysuspicious:

The comments say some previous line of AMDs were bulging from bad power settings until the board manufacturers stopped overclocking the cpus

I dont know enough about current hardware to find the shills but it doesn't surprise me

They did tho, the 7800x3D was exploding cause of r-slurred mobo settings.

I know this cause I bought a 7800x3D and was pooping my pants cause I cheaped out on an ASRock board. Thankfully ASRock has gotten much better while still being fairly budget.

Fake, that's a vrm issue which has nothing to do with and or mono presets. Literal elemental aluminum failure

Neighbor it was directly due to AMD not specifying a max voltage limit.

Nah vrm issue

Yeah it's similar to the problems seen in the 7800x3Ds where mobos mfgs went full r-slur.
