Imo this is in response to poor economics globally. You don't hire jeets if you want to innovate. They're aiming to maintain status quo while cutting expenses, forecast for the next few years probably isn't looking peachy

Yeah basically you get 3/4 the quality for half the cost. I fricking hate working with teams in India though. I don't know what it is about the work culture there but all they want to do is churn out shit code as fast as humanly possible.
