How do these people explain to their high expectation immigrant parents why they lost their high-paying tech job in a down market and are now unemployable?

I'm so curious what these peoples jobs were. I can't imagine anyone who actually contributes has the time to plan this dumb shit.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Doesn't that kind of prove Elon was right to fire them, since Twitter didn't collapse and burn without them?

Yeah, I remember when everyone was like "you can't just fire 75% of the engineers the company is going to collapse!"

Turns out that's not true at all. Technically it's doing just fine, maybe even better. Any drop in revenue is from advertisers pulling out and not platform stability issues.

As a side note Twitter was REALLY bad before Elon bought it. I remember reading an article about their architecture and how basically the various components at startup would query already-running components to get the current state of things. If at any point all of Twitter's services were to go down at the same time, they would be literally unable to bring the system back online again.

Don't forget that random people had the access to shadow ban hashtags and users and took bribes from governments to censor critics

Yes. All the burning seems to from his own questionable business decisions, not because of a staff shortage.
