Also they have a crazy comprehensive test suite. The most prominent project running on sqlite is a bot for rdrama called bard_bot

It's the best kind of joke, the one that's also serious.

yeah there was a period of time where every small project was getting blasted if it didn't have a code of conduct saying they wouldn't oppress bipocs or whatever

Jump in the discussion.

CoCs are a joke, if someone could make something in a hot path twice as fast I wouldn't give a shit about their ethics

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

I think that they write somewhere that it's a box-checking exercise for organizations that want them to include a copy of their "code of conduct" or equivalent. Might as well have a little fun with it.

sqlite is the GOAT

95% of the time the average person or business doesn't need anything more than sqlite

I heard sqlite did some weird shit so I use duckDB instead since it's apparently the same thing, but better

I never dug whole file locking. I get it, but i hate it... i have to build my own controller to do io

The rules encourage users to love God and their neighbors and to forsake overeating, laziness, and grumbling, among other things. L

No wonder it pissed off the ledditors.

!codecels is duckdb any good?

Jump in the discussion.

it's better if you're doing large searches of unindexed data

Jump in the discussion.

Is it good if I'm doing a small search of indexed data?

Jump in the discussion.

no sqlite is better for that

Ya neither have i and i aint clicking on it to figure out why. Sqlite is like default in php and only a touch behind it in other languages. Super easy to pick up

Jump in the discussion.

I find it very useful to chew through large csv files. Much more convenient than writing a one-time python script to manipulate the data

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

It's great for dealing with data sources that are different format and schema. I don't know about using it as an actual DB though.

Jump in the discussion.

No email address required.

yes yes yes yes god yes it's so good use it use it use it.

it's like sqlite+++ for OLAP/data analysis

USE IT

Huh, looks like I r-slurred into picking the right technology.

Jump in the discussion.

I have no experience with it because every library that interacts with a database allows you to use a real DB instead if you're capable of typing docker run postgres into your terminal

It's hard to believe it's possible to be so mid-90s IQ that you'd use e-notation for a 12 digit number to look smart, but it really does happen

What is it about Apple that makes chuds seethe so much? Is it envy?

To add more salt in the wounds of these chuds… did Apple just BTFO all the chud's iToddler bullshit?

>Dismantles arguments about how Macs are useless because “MUH VIDYA”

>Dismantles arguments that iPhones are walled gardens as many methods of sideloading existing

>Explains how ARM architecture allows Macs to perform better than competing Windows devices while using less power

>Explains the entire history of Apple devices BTFOing the competition

>Explains how repairability is the fools strawman issue

How do (You) refute all these arguments? They literally actually have the brain to back their arguments up instead of the chud "iTODDLER" + red hair tranime pics.

>inb4 sage

>inb4 DURRRRRR ITODDLER

>inb4 someone says Linux is superior because muh schïzo privacy feature or like that

Actually refute these arguments… I'll wait.
