The TC snobbery is so ridiculous; nobody outside of a handful of California and New York zip codes is making more than $400k as a senior dev. Mid level frequently sub-$200k and entry level frequently (barely albeit) sub-$100k. Their salaries (which are only that high because their cost of living is 3x the rest of the country) go straight to their heads. I've seen enough of these posts to know that it's not even (intentional) bait.
