Hashcat is the world's fastest and most advanced password recovery utility, supporting five unique modes of attack for over 300 highly-optimized hashing algorithms. hashcat currently supports CPUs, GPUs, and other hardware accelerators on Linux, Windows, and macOS, and has facilities to help enable distributed password cracking.
If you ever forget your Rdrama password hashcat works. EDIT: IT DOESN'T.

They say that, but if you know how a password is hashed, then you can create a loooooong list of hashes, run hashcat, and wait.

That's for rainbow stuff (words). For leaked passwords complete with hashes, then yeah that kinda database is nice.
Hashcat ain't easy because there's a lot of possible ways to write a password, but you can cut down on processing time by capping total characters.
