remember when it was just netflix and people didn't pirate stuff anymore because netflix had everything and was cheap and easier?

now we're right back to everyone just pirating shit because it's an expensive hassle to watch all the stuff you want.

I don't have any stats but I'd bet that music piracy has fallen off a fricking cliff because people just have Spotify accounts and they have a massive library. Cable networks and their related ilk like HBO or Disney just couldn't fricking help themselves though so now it's fragmented again, with shows randomly appearing and disappearing on the same streaming service. It's gotten to the point where piracy is not only obviously cheaper, but also just much easier and simpler.

It's fallen off a cliff because musicians now make all their money off of touring. You think taylor swift gives a frick whether you torrent "tortured poets" or buy the vinyl edition? She wants you in the stadium, everything else is marketing.

I have a FLAC library I barely use anymore. It's too easy to stream Apple Music…and actually just listen to the music lol.

>Doing the math earlier this month, Ars' Scharon Harding totaled up all three networks at $39.47 per month with no advertising, or $24.97 per month with ads.

ATT has it already, so it's probably competition. It's basically streaming cable but you bring your ISP. Way more expensive than $15/month though.
