I use uBO of course, but my secret is:

Use Firefox, and set cookies to be cached to RAM instead of saved locally. Close my browser, and all that tracking goes poof.

Firefox natively supports this.

Using the built-in privacy cowtools is good, don't get me wrong - I do that too. But it's the equivalent of writing down all the cookies/trackers/fingerprinting/etc on a piece of paper, and then burning the paper when you close your browser. There are still ashy bits left over that require additional cowtools to really deep clean the gunk out.

What I do is different, and more involved, and turning those cookies/trackers/etc into smoke rings that dissipate into the air when you close your browser.

One simple thing that anyone using Firefox can do though is change this in config:

browser.cache.memory.enable = true

There's a lot more that can be done, if you really wanna put on your tinfoil hat... but even just changing that one setting will help immensely with privacy and tracking.
