I was wondering if merde_json was one of the artifacts from the David Tolnay drama (he maintains serde-json, the main Rust crate), and the repo has this first-class sales pitch:

Are you not that worried about the performance overhead? (ie. you're writing a backend in Rust, but if it was written in Node.js nobody would bat an eye).

And their description for rubicon is equally depressing:

Allows exporting/importing Rust thread-locals across shared objects (not that you should)

And this is borderline Snappy worthy:
