The baldcel justice is wannabe dictator with a God-complex. The Supreme Federal Tribunal (Brazilian version of SCOTUS), can take down social media content for "misinformation", issue arrest warrants, put you in trial and convict you without appeal. And yes, he hates Musk.

Yesterday he froze Starlink assets to pay for Twitter fines, according to Brazilian lawcels this is illegal but the baldcel doesn't give a frick.

On the one hand, this is terrible for law and society and whatnot.

On the other hand, it's funny as frick when tech CEOs who want to act like petty dictators run up against real power. XD

Musk doesn't give a frick about Brazilian twitter, he's an attention whore and Moraes gave him exactly what he wanted. Everything Musk did was pushing the suspension so he could make a point.

As for "petty dictators" that definition fits Moraes better than Musk, he's the one unilaterally regulating social media and convicting people for online threats. This decision will actually erode public trust in the judiciary (more than it already was).

Musk is kind of sad, tbh. Imagine being the richest mf in the world and caring about twitter.

I'd have way more respect if he bought it to shut it down.

He makes governments the world over seethe by not bending over. But of course you think it would be based if he did

Is it real power though? It's a petty judge from a banana republic, twitter userbase will take a minor hit but it doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things

He's imposed his whims on a nation of 200 million people, so yeah I'd call that real power.

Oh, he's super powerful inside Macacolandia but I mean in a global scale.

He has been absolutely sneeding about a rightoid blogger for years now, including :soyjaktantrum: at the interpol trying to get the burgers to extradict him back to Brazil for saying mean things on the internet.

The :marseycop: have completely ignored him so far.
