Not only do I have the gall to not look like a computer scientist, I have the gall to actually be better at it than them. This is obviously completely unacceptable and my fault.

Any time I see this kind of sentiment being expressed in real life, it's by the most incompetent person in the room.

My sister recently had some observations about her 5-year-old son: it's really hard to find media targeted at boys that is about friendship and cooperation. It's much easier to find media targeted at girls that is about friendship and cooperation. This is a disservice to both; the kid recently moved to a new school and has had to ask others and himself over and over, "how do I make friends?"

Has she considered raising her own child instead of outsourcing her job to the TV?
