Why though? Isn't the entire point of C++ to have the footgun? Like I don't actually understand this point. If you're going to use C++ for something, that implies you're going to run software that requires utmost performance and/or to run on minimal hardware specs.

What is this meant to appeal to? Who's making crud in C++ in 2024?
