redditor snitches on the boys at work for using custom emojis like Chad and Pepe on slack

AITA for complaining to HR that my colleague is using hate symbols

Context: My (27f) sister is a trans woman, and I'm very sensitive to discrimination, dog whistling and hate speech, including memes and emojis used to harass and ridicule vulnerable people. My colleagues at work know about my sister, as she picked me up at the office a couple of times.

A couple of weeks ago a colleague (25-30m) at work uploaded a bunch of custom emojis, like "Chad" or "Pepe the Frog" and started using it on slack, on shared all company channels. I did not assume bad intent, but as these memes are often used in hate speech and trolling, it rubbed me the wrong way. I messaged him privately, and politely asked him to stop using these emojis, I provided some links to why these are sensitive and best to be avoided in workplace settings. His reply was literally "Lol mate". At this point I got a sneaky suspicion that he isn't using these emojis innocently, so I took screenshots of where he used them, and of my messages to him, and forwarded to HR. HR agreed that it's best to err on the side of caution, and said to leave it with them. We are an absolutely no hate speech and no discrimination company, and it's written into our Code of Conduct which all employees have to sign. I don't know what exactly did HR do, but now I heard from another colleague that I'm an butthole for getting a guy in trouble at work over "some stupid emoji".

AITA?

Which dramatard wants to add :marseyhappy2: to their company slack first? How long will it take before he's found out to be a dramatard (or they suspect he's a wpd :marseydisgusted: user :marseypuke:)

It goes unrecognized for months, a year, year and a half. Everyone loves the cute little cartoon cat. The employed dramatard curates a work-appropriate selection of marseys, seeing what a hit the first one was, and says he made them. The HR ladies like the thing so much they start using Marsey in email blasts and even do some rudimentary graphic design of their own to incorporate it into company branding internally, just for fun.

WPD continues to grow. A few of the younger employees recognize Marsey in time but they obviously can't say anything, why would they be familiar with a gore site? Eventually someone goes on a stabbing spree in Krakow wearing a WPD-branded Marsey hoodie. It's international news. They're apprehended and the police hone in on the cat clothes. The WPD account is found immediately and suddenly WPD is being mentioned everywhere in the media.

How does HR handle this?

they can't

obviously it was all set up to put in place sleeper agents that suddenly awake due to the absolute cognitive dissonance they're experiencing at the event of all of this...

and the whole's economy collapses in a mania of HR people randomly murdering half of every company in global epidemic of explosive suicides! islam ain't got on nothin' on this b-word... this will be the end of the species as there just won't be time after the dust settles, to cobble something together advanced enough to deal with the impending runaway global warming event.

ur plan is truly a mastermind carp, u will have the last drama, indeed!
