translated speeches only now becoming popular thanks to AI

Kinda begs the question, why wasn't it popularized before? Like weren't these speeches translated from german at least once? Were germans forbidden to? Or is it the novelty of an AI doing hitlers voice doing an english version of the speech that is making it compelling and go viral?

I assume that many of the videos didn't lead with letting you know they were the words of Hitler. In the past you probably knew before you read the speech and would have reflexively dismissed it.

Nothing in popular media.

Remember all those History Channel ww2 documentaries? And yet not a single subtitle when the mustache man was on screen :marseynoooticer: :marseywrongthonk: :marsey!notesglow:

Yeup. And I vaguely remember in middle school about how they showcased book burning but they never mentioned what books were burned.

if you watch the video they have a guy with a nice calmer American voice reading it while some lofi-type beat is underneath

no one wants to listen to a german speaking english translating it, especially some academic, or even a hitler impersonation like the movies where they are yelling

it's basically packaged properly and delivered in tiktok form
