It means "superuser do" so 'sue-doo' seems right and 'sue-doe' can be confused with 'pseudo'

But it's sue-doe

It's like the r-slur creator of .gif who called them "jifs" even though it stands for graphics interchange format and should be pronounced with a soft "g" like guitar

I actually prefer the "jif" pronunciation because .gif sounds too much like an r-slured internet word to me rather than a right proper word.

The crotchety old Unix admin at my first job called it sue-doo and I've pronounced it that way ever since. Most people I talk to pronounce it that way too, excluding the H1Bs.

I'm fully aware sue-doo is probably correct. Since it means SuperUser DO however I first read it as sue-doe in my head and that's what I'm sticking with.

Are you a literal NPC? First you had trouble counting to two, now you're just copy and pasting your replies. Do you need some time to update before you can type anything new?
