Seriously, who is ebussy? What's up with the use case meme? I went through almost 7 years of Wayland commits and couldn't find anyone with a name like that. !linuxchads help me out

Ebussy refers to Emmanuele Bassi, a GNOME developer notorious for shutting down requests for basic features like having a volume control slider on music player apps by stating that he doesn't see the use case and jannying the thread. On /g/ he's become emblematic of the general hostile attitude GNOME has towards their users and developers who don't follow their hyper-neurodivergent workflow which has never been championed by anyone productive in the first place. Also he's a literal fat neckbeard so his face is very memeable.

He is the based GNOME dude putting those "just one more feature bro" requesters in their place? I love him already

He's behind the r-slurred iPad style DE Gnome has become over the years. I'm glad to see the project fail, rest in piss you won't be missed.

GNOME is unironically adheres very well to principles of good design and is perfect for normies.

It's discoverable, pretty, offers a "right" way to use the DE. Most people aren't going to design a better workflow than a dedicated developer team.

Those of us with the requisite :marseyautism: should use a painstakingly configured tiling wm, and everyone else should use GNOME.

He was the first Impressionist composer out of France and is widely regarded as one of the modern greats, with Clair de Lune one of the most immediately recognizable works of all time. The Impressionist movement he began was in many ways a conscious reaction to Wagner and the German tradition, focusing on a lighter and more emotive atmospheric expression rather than attempting to construct a full tone-picture. His protégé and friend Maurice Ravel is my personal favorite, and the later French prodigy Lili Boulanger produced several of my all-time favorite Psalm accompaniments. Check out Ravel's Daphnis et Chloe for a real treat. !classics

I went with Nocturnes because Clair de Lune sometimes gets overplayed but now I'm listening again and it really does make me want to cry everytim. The Impressionists were so good. :marseyhappytears:

Play this in the background. It's my favorite ballet and makes Wagner look like the brute the Nazis wanted him to be. It's Halloween and this is your treat, no tricks today. :marseythinkinghallowseve:

  • Nightcrawler : The music was good the art is :marseymid: I agree
  • The_ACA : if it's not from bugs bunny then I don't want to hear it

The central theme of visual and musical Impressionism is "I'd rather be fast than good" which is how I govern my comments and OC reaction art.

I've seen Monets and Van Goghs at the Smithsonian and they are peerless. Yes they would be better if they were Marsey gif memes but they did the best they could.

I've seen the David. Someone once said that once you've seen it, you don't need to see any other statue. I thought that was a bit pretentious, but once I saw it I was like "oh yeah, everything else sucks."
