I'mma save all y'all 14 minutes; you can learn this in 30 sec.

wget <url> — for being lazy when there's nothing that needs anything fancy.

wget <url> -O output.png — for when the remote host gave the file a retarded name.

wget -i <url-list.txt> — Download a list of URLs.

wget -i <url-list.txt> --content-disposition — Download a list of URLs that have non-retarded names sent down with the Content-Disposition header.

If you need commands other than these, you should learn to use cURL.

There's also a command for downloading an entire webpage including all the resources (css + images), storing it in a directory, and renaming the urls to point into that directory. I forget what the command is, but you can just google it.

The YouTube algorithm fricking ruined how-to vids. I think it selects for videos 10 min+ so they can show more ads, so a video with maybe 20 seconds of useful information gets stretched out to 12 minutes. I saw they added a "relevant section of video" to Google search, but like with most of their features it gets it right only like 65% of the time
