Wait, so the tickets are NFTs themselves? And the organizers basically invalidated theirs? Doesn't that defeat the whole point of decentralized ownership these crypto r-slurs try to narrate? And on top of that, now they want a legal body, that they didn't want involved in their eco system before?

I guess it has some extra utility in the case that you would want to trade the tickets with someone else in some semi-trustless fashion, but really why would you waste consensus bandwidth doing that.
Just have a centralized ticket service that accepts normal cryptocurrency payments FFS.
