I’d love to be able to see the benefits of living 175 more years – guaranteed extra time to sunbathe and make a bigger dent in my Goodreads list would be a dream – but it’s hard to imagine how a ‘life-extending’ drug would be sustainable in the long-term.

So this sounds like FOX-04 DRI or similar. Fisetin also has something like the same effects in clearing out senicent cells. Basically the senicent cells help drive aging by pooping up your body with lipofuscin and other inflammatory compounds.

God, why are journoids such wet fricking blankets.

It would be sustainable in the same way that people having babies and not dying are today. If someone isn’t dead or crippled due to being old as frick, guess how much that impacts the labor force? Genius scientists like Einstein don’t die and continue to produce breakthroughs.

It would frankly revolutionize labor, no more need to make service members retire at a certain age, no more need for maximum age requirements. No more productivity lost due to just the shit that comes with being old. Imagine how much labor and money we would save in the geriatric care sector alone—all those people could be put to better use doing something else. All those old fricks could be de-old fricked and rejoin the labor force.

Yeah, it’s going to shift the social order around, just like any other advance. People b-word about this with automation—who will do all the menial jobs when they’re all automated? :soyjakhipster:

Nobody, hopefully, hopefully we move into an post scarcity society and figure out a better use for human potential.

“I don’t know if it’s sustainable :soycry:

>lmao, better cut off antibiotics, and everything else, too. Living past 30 is unsustainable, go ahead and die faster! Heh. I’m very woke, I’m essentially saying that although we can prevent it, we should let people die.

Journoids are a cancer

The best part is that 20-40% of the population will likely willingly let themselves die by the time they turn 80 or 90 for the sake of ethics and that unironically will mean a world that continues to thrive.

I'll take out at least two overly aged geriatrics with me before I go, for the children's sake.
