Like, literally.

What's even the point of doing that instead of having separate CPUs?

I am guessing a huge shared cache for all the chiplets

probably not, but shared system memory is still much easier to programm with

This comment is ignorant and uninformed. Shared system memory is not easier too program with, and in fact is one of the most difficult aspects of programming.

I meant that the memory is one whole package and not divided. They "share" the same memory access, but got my wording wrong. Physically its a bit more complex but programmer side sees it as a unified system

You obviously don't know what you're talking about. Memory is divided into different sections, and each section is accessed differently. Programmers have too be aware of this in order too properly utilize memory.

umm actually software abstraction means programmers don’t have to care at all especially with the lack of modern resource constraints :marseyblowkiss:

Computer science 101: if you don't understand software abstraction, you're not cut out too be a programmer.

cache is not system memory

Correct, and I was talking about RAM. Accessing other cache would be more of a penalty because the Transfer rate is probably tenfold or even bigger worse than using your own. You would rather look up system memory
