Guys I just found out both Moon dust and Mars dust are toxic

I am assuming there is a similar case for the soil of most other planets near us. So if the very ground we walk on is trying to kill us once we land, how are we going to setup safe and habitable colonies?

The toxicity of Mars dust is actually within FDA regulations so it’s okay for Martian r-slur babies to eat the sand.

My source is a vague memory of a YouTube video about The Martian that I watched years ago so 100% definitely.

We made houses with asbestos for decades and all that happened was that a few poor r-slurs got cancer and died. We as a species can easily survive some shitty space dust.

Yeah and it’s probably because the us is full of disgusting land whales full of corn syrup blubber. Fatties are too heavy to get on a rocket ship to the heavens, so I don’t see the problem.

There are some ideas to have a "suitport" which lets the suit dock to the habitat. Then the outsides of the suit would never get exposed to the pressurized area keeping it safe from dust.
