In conjunction, unaffected liberal women want nothing more than to get attention for being oppressed. Despite this having no affect on them, it has become a platform for more of the attention they crave.
All of this wrapped up in the advent of social media (a method of digitally publishing text/images/audio for free at any time just about anywhere) and you get the cultural artifact you see before us: a compilation of septim pierced women and red state troglodytes - all vying for male attention and lady-clout.
