The effect size was equivalent to a bit over half of the state getting an approximately 8% boost to school spending, or the same amount getting exposed to a 0.33-0.67 SD better teacher.
Same state, so nothing too surprising.
Context: Wisconsin made it so teachers could negotiate contracts outside the union in 2011. A couple of recent studies have shown that non-union teachers produce better educational outcomes.
