Part of me really thinks that Seth hates Punk so much he wanted to dunk on him by having the most all-time Wrestlemania season performance ever even with a torn meniscus. Just absolutely giving everything to the industry without any selfishness, all to be able to look down on Punk even harder.
I know everyone enjoys Drew's hater arc but I cannot wait for Seth to come back and chirp CobraMan Thing's glass butt again.

it's still the most hilarious thing ever that punk immediately ran back to WWE because all he cares about is being petty and getting revenge on anyone who doesn't treat him like an actual god of wrasslin'. this dude spent years saying WWE LITERALLY TRIED TO KILL HIM. spent years trashing them at every chance as being the worst company in the history of companies.
but because he couldn't handle a kayfabe promo from hangman, he had to immediately become hogan levels of insufferable. to the point he constantly shoots on hangman every time he touches a mic (then he went on to cry about hangman saying one kayfabe line he didn't like and how going in to business for yourself is the worst thing a person could do) and does everything he can to get fired.
TK is the biggest softest mark that's ever ran a wrasslin' company. not only did he meekly sit by while his world fricking champ talked shit about your entire company and then attack EVPs when they show up with the AEW head of legal, but he then brought punk back and HANDED HIM A WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BELT AND LET HIM CALL HIMSELF THE REAL WORLD CHAMP.
i didn't watch the fed when he was there, so this run was my first real exposure to cm punk as a wrassler. i can not believe this is the guy everyone spent the last decade going fricking nuts for. the dude got hurt nearly every time he stepped in to the ring! i just love that he did the exact same thing in wwe. got hurt immediately on getting in a match. the easiest match ever, too. a royal rumble. no one gets hurt in the royal rumble!
i gotta just send this post i keep adding to it and why the frick am i writing novels about wrasslin' no one cares or will read this.

a crippled injured seth is better in ring than cm punk has ever been in his life. and seth is at least as good as him on the mic. AND seth isn't hogan levels of terrible backstage.
but the fricking marks love punk for some reason.
maybe triple h will really let seth go for it in the punk feud. triple h has to remember all the shit cm phil talked. H, and HBK, and seth are gonna get together and work up a "HBK cutting promo on bret in 97" thing. just some real deep personal shit.
