Darby Allin has suffered a broken foot and will be unable to climb Mt Everest.
— Cultaholic Wrestling (@Cultaholic) March 16, 2024
Allin sustained a broken foot during his singles match with Jay White at AEW Big Business. The injury occurred when Allin executed a senton onto Jay White, mere minutes into the match.

apparently he broke it minutes in to the fricking match when jumping to the fricking outside.
i watch dynamite with a fricking friend every week. in the fricking post match beatdown when jay white and the fricking gunns were fricking crippling darby i said to him
he's gonna say he really got hurt cause he's too scared to climb and needs a fricking legitimate excuse to back out so he doesn't look like a fricking b-word.
little did i know that he just went for it and ACTUALLY broke his foot instead of just kayfabing it, motherlover!

According to Fightful Select, AEW has suspended Sammy Guevara. The suspension stems from his match with Jeff Hardy that was taped on Feb. 16 and aired on Feb. 18.
Hardy was injured in that match when Guevara's knee hit him in the face while Sammy delivered a Shooting Star Press. Word was that Jeff suffered a broken nose, but not a concussion. AEW hasn't used the former WWE star since.
Fightful's report indicates that Guevara is suspended because “concussion protocol was not followed”, and that resulted in Sammy ”hitting his finisher on Hardy, which we're told shouldn't have happened.”
We should learn more specifics about how Guevara allegedly violated the concussion protocol in future reports. Perhaps we'll also learn more about this scene from after the match...
Matt Hardy has addressed the match & injury on his podcast, but his comments have mostly focused on his brother's health.
There's no word on the length of Guevara's suspension, other than Fightful noting that he's currently serving it. He wrestled Powerhouse Hobbs in a No Disqualification match on the Feb. 24 Collision that could have been a write-off for his character.
Guevara was suspended by AEW once before, in 2020 when inappropriate comments he made about Mercedes Moné/Sasha Banks on a 2016 podcast resurfaced (he apologized, which she acknowledged). He's also been involved in behind-the-scenes incidents with Andrade El Ídolo and Eddie Kingston.

Devastated to hear Virgil has passed away (61).
— OSW review (@OSWreview) February 28, 2024
Dude was a worker in and out of the ring, even decades after retiring he kept himself in everyone's minds with his A-game hustle! A lot of good memories.
Here's a pic of the signed tenner that OOC got back from him. RIP Virgil đź’š pic.twitter.com/018aEhoDD7
he's grifting fans at wrasslin' conventions in heaven now.
there was probably a better tweet to grab than an OSW one but it's the first one i saw.
here is his most famous non-dibiase moment
WATCH OUT FOR YAKA ZUMA BRET
here are some virgil stories
As we are de-planing a younger fan, probably about 15, asks if he can get a picture with him as they're exiting the plane. Virgil perks up and says, "Absolutely, but let's get off the plane first" and we start moving toward the exit, me right behind Virgil. As we are walking off we're still talking and I ask, "Do you get asked for pictures a lot?" and Virgil looks right at me and says, "Yeah, and I'm gonna charge him for it!"

Hangman Page at the end of Dynamite got out of the Muscle Buster before seemingly holding his ankle and kept saying "STOP, DON'T SHOOT ME" to the cameraman.
— Drainmaker 🌧️ đź’µ (@DrainBamager) February 22, 2024
Hope he's fine. pic.twitter.com/RMnLs038aJ
this happened on dynamite. and sure, he's really selling it with the whole "NO DON'T SHOOT ME" to the camera as he holds his ankle, but as it happened i thought nothing of it because he landed in an incredibly safe way when he got out of the muscle buster. didn't fall. didn't twist an ankle. just flat footed and rolled out of the ring.
so the next morning meltzer and alvarez are all
it's definitely something serious. probably a broken ankle.

shortly after sean ross sapp is all dude. it was a work. are you r-slurred?
https://twitter.com/WrestlePurists/status/1760683586355879942
now, there's a possibility that meltzer was in on the work and him/AEW thought the real story wouldn't get it. this is something i've literally JUST thought about and...it seems at least sort of possible? everyone insists meltzer is on the AEW take because he's bffs with the bucks and only reports what they want (which isn't true at all because he's recently been calling them WCW 2000 because they are getting like a dozen people to buy tickets for TV) so maybe he was kayfabing it? probably not. seems like a way to destroy any journ*listic integrity you might have had.
this all comes a week(ish) after he watched a 10 year old WWE clip and reported on it as if it had just happened
https://twitter.com/WrestleFeatures/status/1758478444361392220
i don't understand how a mistake like this even happens beyond...his mind going.

/h/wrestling is in need of Marseys for the corner icon. I could slap something together in GIMP but I thought it be more fun to have a little contest.
Starting today until March 29 at 10PM EST you can submit your Marsey to this thread.
Here's the rules:
The Marsey must be wrestling related, preferably pro-wrestling related
Multiple entries are allowed but only one entry per-submitter will go to the final round
This is a good faith contest so no
obvious AIThe submitted Marsey must be in the style of an emoji with a maximum file size of 16 MB
The entries will be gathered up and a voters poll will be held on March 31. If you've submitted more than one Marsey then I will pick which one goes to the voting round.
The prizes are:
First Place - 5000 in coins
Second Place - 500 in bux
Third Place - 500 in coins
Once again: You have until March 29 to submit your Marsey and a voters round will be held on March 31 with the winners being announced on the same day.
Don't forget to also submit your Marsey as an emoji for potential extra earnings.

The fans attempt to save Ernie Ladd from Ox Baker's deadly "Heart Punch" move.
Also with Cornette's commentary:
Perhaps the greatest consequence of the death of kayfabe is that fans don't get worked into a riot anymore.
