It's obvious satire to anyone under the age of 50, but not to boomers. It's hard for normal people to imagine why boomers are like this, but the reason is, boomers didn't grow up with the internet or even texting. The only text they experienced are books and newspapers, which are 99% serious.

So of course they're completely incapable of detecting any form of satire, parody, grift or irony in text form, which is 99% of today's internet.
