This show is poor people cope. "Look how terrible rich people are and how miserable it is to be ultra-wealthy! They all hate each other. Aren't you glad to be poor and have a normal family? No need to eat us, we're eating ourselves."
I still think it's a good show though

? I didn't get this impression at all, Roman and later the Alexander Skarsgaad character, and various people like Kendalls rich finance friend, are classic examples of how wealthy people can live their life how they want and not give a shit.
Kendall could be that but he's an failed overachiever type trying to live up to his father's success, but his problem is that he's weak and incompetent.
Shiv is just a generic scheming foid who is directionless and even with her politics she's a conflicted contradictory mess.
This show is a good critique on the kids of wealthy people. They aren't just corporate drones or conspiraring elites like normal US media clichรฉs. Just flawed immature humans. It's not a good critique of wealth or business unless youre feeding some confirmation biases. There's plenty of glorification of their lifestyle and culture.

Okay but Roman is a weird little s*x pest freak that can't even get it up unless an older woman is calling him a loser.
I'd rather be myself with my six figures of wealth than him with all of his fricked up issues and millions of dollars.

Easy solution If your dad is wealthy or successful like Justin Trudeau or Jaden Smith you should just off yourself immediately. Succession is a big case study in the consequences of a disinterested/distracted type father whose primary skill is making money and dominating various industries.
2nd Gen wealth/status almost never results in interesting people unless you take radical measures to insulate your kids.
Case in point:
