Ping groups are one of the most r-slurred features from this site. Theyโ€™re either used to brigade if youโ€™re not in it, or to annoy if youโ€™re in one and it makes you think you have an actual response to a comment.

@Aevann carp I know this is kinda dramaphobic but what if there :marseycheerup: was some kind of "softer" block :marseyerasure: that simply prevented someone from being able to ping you via ping groups? Direct @pings would :marseywould: still go through but not !pinggroups. No idea what to call it.

There's plenty of people who spam some of the ping groups and I don't necessarily want to leave them (I still love the real animalposts) but I also don't want to block :marseyerasure: the ping abuser :marseygaslighter: bc blocking :marseysnorlax: is super :marseyblackpanther: dramaphobic.
