Ping groups are one of the most r-slurred features from this site. They’re either used to brigade if you’re not in it, or to annoy if you’re in one and it makes you think you have an actual response to a comment.

@Aevann carp I know this is kinda dramaphobic but what if there :marseycheerup: was some kind of "softer" block :marseyerasure: that simply prevented someone from being able to ping you via ping groups? Direct @pings would :marseywould: still go through but not !pinggroups. No idea what to call it.

There's plenty of people who spam some of the ping groups and I don't necessarily want to leave them (I still love the real animalposts) but I also don't want to block :marseyerasure: the ping abuser :marseygaslighter: bc blocking :marseysnorlax: is super :marseyblackpanther: dramaphobic.
