I've grown fond of these critters too thanks to all you tards. But they're SCAREY! They're invading towns in Argentina now and it's no joke.
https://s3.crackedcdn.com/phpimages/article/8/7/2/427872.jpg?v=2Look at these beasts. They've also been known to injure doggos. Here's a doggo below that was bit by one of the invading Capybaras.

BONUS : After party!

Tbf everyone down here sided with the capys, it's known that this particular suburb was built in what used to be capy's land. The good thing is that by law nobody can't hurt the capys, they basically own the town now.

I've read that they do - I think mostly in Venezula and Columbia but have had South Americans here and on other forums say they've never heard of anyone eating them.

I've heard of people hunting and eating them, but it's sport meat. You're not going to find capybara steak on the butcher

It's honestly the cutest "infestation" I've ever seen, could be a lot worse.

Capybara's strike me as the kind of animal you don't realize are fricking big until you see one in person and say "holy shit, those things are fricking big"

I've seen them IRL at the zoo here. They are as big as pigs, goats or a larger dog like a german sheppard. They get to be like 120 lbs.
