See, here's the difference from my view. Being progressive doesn't, in any way, make you smarter. Being progressive doesn't make you better or automatically right.

Not what I expected to read from a Srdine

However, most of the academics who study their particular field, and ARE more knowledgeable on a subject, typically end up being progressive. Thus we frequently have the correct answers on our side, but a lot of people don't understand why they are right, and so many times the answers trickle down, not directly from the scientists and academics, but through a chain on social media so that a lot of people are getting their info from 12 year olds on twitter.
