The average melanin level of an Iraqi is less than the the average melanin level of a burger. She was raised Shia as well so a good chance she was from part of Iraq closer to Iran where people are lighter skinned. And like most countries the poors are always the darkest. Canadain winter has just robbed her of any tan.
