1: Its probably northern Virginia. Most traffic gets routed through there. AWS main shit is there as well and a ton of data centers. You can tell bots/shills from actual people if they route directly to a datacenter vs a nebulous IP.

Depends on if you go to work in a cubicle (not allowed to talk to other employees unless on break) or if you work from home. It's killing.

Strict scripts on how to post, reply, what to post, what to reply with, what to say if someone else says x, that kind of stuff. The logic is pretty circular. You ever see those accounts on Reddit that were inactive for 4, 5, 6 years then suddenly start posting political nonsense? Those are shills using bought accounts. The upmarseys/likes/retweets are often from bot farms in south east asia. Those weird reddit accounts that only comment and seem off? Very likely bots trained using a huge number of posts. It's significantly easier when they only have to post a few different types of comments instead of simulating a redditor fully.

What do they install on your computer?

If you have a physical workplace, everything you do on your computer is tracked. I have no idea for working from home shills but I assume some kind of tracker.

See above. But depending on the exact job, you can be paid for posts/how viral it gets.

What do they expect from you for their investment?

They want to control the narrative for their client - it's the entire business model. So you need to follow instructions and be effective (enough).

Also the pay is shitty but that's too be expected. Every country has these - usually private corporations. Israel's internet defense force is an actual thing (but not to the extent that /pol/ says), Russia has their own, China has their own (but they focus almost entirely on maintaining public support for the CCP).
