yeah thats not what an artillery army does. If you read accounts from the voulounteers, you'll see what instead is the skill.

Id propably kill myself before fighting the Russian forces.

Operation Bagration shattered Heeresgruppe Mitte and advanced over 500km in just one month and the Soviets were the quintessential "artillery army". Objectively this war is going far slower than it should for Putin leaving aside of course the numbers disparity between the Russians and Ukrainians.

I mean I am a commie I am not saying the Russian Army is as good as in 1942 otherwise why would I be a commie.

But its not as bad as people make it either. They fight against the support of every single NATO state. The start was a desaster, now they do Syria 2.0.

They cant mobilize cause then ammunition would srsly get scarce. So they have those 200k troops in for a slow grind. The difference to Bagraion is that the Eastern front already collappsed. Sure when the Ukrainian army is collapsed and I have the feeling it will be very darn soon, then they can just run and put the flag over everything too.

Its just a different state of the war. Despite all the cope (even from the Russian side especially at the start), its looking better than the Finnish-Soviet war. Which was THE Russian desaster although they won painfully. Its not going great, not horrible, its just going okay.

I think getting into a stalemate with your much smaller, poorer neighbor is the definition of a disaster, especially when all you do is flex hard about how you have the greatest army on earth.

Well the Hohols didn’t. :marseyshrug:

Also, what even is the point of an “artillery army” when other countries can deliver the amount of firepower, both quantity and quality, without sacrificing any mobility?
