Early grave and it's boring imo. I've been to Europe a couple times and it genuinely feels like a retirement home. If that's what you like then live your life but everything takes forever because no one is a workaholic like in the US. If you need anything nonstandard it will take at least a month and be done poorly.

Just go to Latin America instead. Youโd get the same treatment and experience but itโs cheaper, possibly nicer weather and thereโs always the potential you might kidnapped or killed by some bandit, narco, guerrilla or soldier (either government or private) to keep life interesting.

Yeah pretty much anyone under 60 years old is fluent in english, thats a big reason why a lot of expats come here. The official number is like 30% of people speak english fluently but since the majority of the population are over 60 years old and will die soon that means the majority of people you will come across are fluent.

it is, /r/lisboa and /r/porto are supposed to be the portuguese speaking subreddits for those cities but expaats compeltely overtook them and most posts are in english now, also if you are actually interested D7 and D2 visas can be cheaper options to come here.
