That isn't my sacrifice, though; no, my presence is what rDrama is giving up for Lent. There's a No Man's Sky update due out either later today or tomorrow morning. New space stations and stuff. You're going to miss out on my tismposting over it. You'll miss my review of the new Godzilla movie at the end of March. You'll miss countless hot take threads with the cute girls love the blahaj image.
You'll miss a huge number of carp's curated funny family man moments volumes.
It will hurt, and it will hurt badly, but you will all be spiritually richer for it.
Similarly, though to a much lesser extent, I will miss bringing joy with these things to our dozens of users. I've also got some other stuff I'll be doing for Lent but that's not the sort of thing one broadcasts. That said, remember to sacrifice something yourself. rDrama's collective carp sacrifice is not your own, nor is it something you have control over. The convict does not give up his freedom for Lent. It's also not supposed to be a bad habit; you shouldn't be doing bad things anyway. Give up something good and that you enjoy but distracts you from God. That can even be time. Commit to just a rosary per day even, that's an excellent habit to be in.
Remember that Fridays aren't meant to be an excuse to binge on nice seafood. It's not a sacrifice at all if you're having a big fish feast or eating lobster or whatever on Friday, that's a treat. The fast is meant to be solemn and bring you closer to God, it's not a fancy fish party.
Bye rDrama don't bother engaging the small-souled wicked who are sure to appear below see you in April x

Fellow !christians - how do you view your use of rDrama?
During a recent sermon my pastor quoted some verses and they seem to directly attack :"grumblerss" and malcontents (dramatards).
Jude 1:16 (ESV)
These are grumblers, malcontents, following their own sinful desires; they are loud-mouthed boasters, showing favoritism to gain advantage
Philippians 4:8 (ESV)
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
Proverbs 4:23 (ESV)
Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.
This is the most notable verse however:
Titus 3:10-11
As for a person who stirs up division, after warning him once and then twice, have nothing more to do with him, knowing that such a person is warped and sinful; he is self-condemned.

One thing I've wondered about Church Christianity is when the words or Paul contridict with the teachings of Jesus, they seem to reject Jesus and take the words of Paul?
Jesus taught to sinners. I would argue that Judas wasn't a great example of someone who was free of sin.
It's too easy just to be like "Oh, Paul wrote the word of God" when he wrote his letters so Paul is equivalent to Jesus, and I think it is a logical error. We might as well be building altars and worshipping Paul if we are just going to reject Jesus.
My personal opinion is that Paul corrupted Christianity and led the religion astray.
Is Paul equivalent to Jesus? If not then how do you explain the many many contradictions between their writing and teachings? Either the word of Jesus was the word or God or the word of Paul was? They can't both be true.
This is why I reject Paul's writings almost entirely in my path, and I definately don't do what the Church does and prioritize above the teachings of Jesus when they do contridict.
This thread I am looking for a respectful debate.

Do Not Worry
22 Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on.
23 Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.
24 Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?
25 And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
26 If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest?
27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
28 If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?
29 “And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind.
30 For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things.
31 But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.
32 “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
33 Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys.
34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

In addressing some of the many grave violations of human dignity today, we can draw upon the teachings of the Second Vatican Council, which emphasized that “all offenses against life itself, such as murder, genocide, abortion, euthanasia, and willful suicide” must be recognized as contrary to human dignity.[53] Furthermore, the Council affirmed that “all violations of the integrity of the human person, such as mutilation, physical and mental torture, undue psychological pressures,” also infringe upon our dignity.[54] Finally, it denounced “all offenses against human dignity, such as subhuman living conditions, arbitrary imprisonment, deportation, slavery, prostitution, the selling of women and children, degrading working conditions where individuals are treated as mere tools for profit rather than free and responsible persons

I often post wonders from the distant past. What about the churches we still build today?

On Monday someone at Mass said they had one on order from Ignatius but I can't find any reference to one. My EDC zipper RSVCE so becoming crummy from use and the gilded pages are turning green so I need something new.
I tried this last week carrying one of my NABREs but I don't see much for it on an daily basis and I don't like the changes to the apocrypha and lack of red text for Christ's voice. Not to mention it's not as portable since I like to just toss my zipper Bible in my rucksack for work and not have to worry about damage
If not zipper I could really use something more durable that's complete and not just a psalms/nt abridgment.

Discuss.
A lot of talk about politics but not a single mention of faith, which is a bit weird coming from a spiritual leader in my opinion.
A bit too neolib-y for my taste, while I don't disagree with the overall message, personally I am wary of introducing means to police and guide businesses for social goals as introducing such measures in the first place opens them for corruption and abuse, allowing the people in power to guide these entities against common social interests just as well. A situation like that would be even more damaging than businesses not being socially involved in the first place, and in my humble opinion is what we're seeing now to an extent.
