Apparently the word Xmas has its origins in christian shorthand. Missionaries would write the word as +mas (imagine a crucifix) and that got changed to an X because of typewriters
Well I would say that there are 2 Chirstmases simultaniously the first one is the consumerist gift-giving family holiday, and the second is the birth of Christ holiday, and the first one is more dominant, and only smaller part of the population cares about the second one.
According to the the year is 5783. Specifically, the estimated number of years since Genesis.
But that doesn't count since the Genesis story is a few billion years off.
The say the year is 4720, since the start of the reign of the mythical Yellow Emperor. That also doesn't count because I hate Chinamen.
The modern :marseyAssyrian: year is 6771; the number of years since the calming of a great deluge and the beginning of new life. But that was only invented in the 1950s by Assyrian nationalists, who I had no idea existed.
The say the year is 1445 This calendar enumerates the Hijri era, whose epoch was established as the Islamic New Year in 622 CE.[1] During that year, Muhammad and his followers migrated from Mecca to Medina and established the first Muslim community (ummah), an event commemorated as the Hijrah
A thousand years is like a day for the Lord our God. Christ died for our sins in 33 AD so we're still at 1990 in which 2033 will be the start of the 3rd day he will rise again
We run the largest networks of non-governmental charities and hospitals, with ~65-70% of them operating in impoverished nations. The average Christian donates both more volunteer hours and money than irreligious with unaffiliated organizations. We adopt children at far higher rates, are far more likely to vote, are less obese and less depressed than average citizens.
Go back to playing video games and complaining about women being repulsed to touch you or whatever the dramneurodivergent atheists get up to.
I would tend to agree many are not fulfilling the lifestyle they try to project, but conversion is a constant lifelong process of aligning oneself to Christ. A decade ago I was living in my car/couchsurfing addicted to pills and booze.
If people here really think I'm larping I dunno what to say except that I think it's projection rooted in cynicism/lack of empathy for people who lead different lifestyles. I moved across the planet to take care of family and am bored when at home. In 2023 pretty much everyone is online a lot.

@Geralt_of_Greenland His argument isn't that Christians aren't tolerant enough, but the opposite.
He's saying you should take a page from the Muzzie book and start performing acid attacks on foids with exposed ankles.
It's been 2023 years since the beginning of common era.
The era that is common, you know. As opposed to the time before common era. What event separates the common era from before common era? Well it was the era becoming common. Thus the time before the era became common is known as before common era, and the time period since the era became common is known as the common era

1. Disrespect towards God and the Church is not allowed here.
2. We honor the dignity of life from the womb to the tomb.
3. Debate about Scripture, tradition, politics, etc. are allowed when they do not directly contradict rule 1 (controversial history is an open topic when people are respectful).
4. Trolling, coomerisms, and poorly attempted humor may receive the mop at the discretion of those in charge.
5. Pray for your family, pray for your community, pray for your nation, and pray for rDrama.net. We need it! Prayer works!

Xmas ( formerly known as Christmas ) has now become a consumerist, post-Christian holiday without Jesus.

Not religious but you're right. IIRC even other religions that aren't as focused on charity on average are far more charitable than atheists.
I don't think the people posting RETVRN memes are the same ones adopting children and leading happy fulfilling lives though.
