Trump wants to impose massive penalties on companies that off shore jobs. Dell, one of the most American companies there is, has 120 software engineer jobs open. Only 13 are USA jobs and 50 are India. This NOT OKAY. This is GREED. America needs to come FIRST in America.

If Argentina's Milei can turn the country around so quickly, so can Trump (who runs in the same ideals). The economy is NOT okay. It just looks okay for Biden. People are poorer than ever right now. Job numbers look okay but that's only for retail, service and labor. Every skilled white collar sector is hurting.

DO NOT let the H1Bs at work bully you into being against Trump. They're not even citizens, their opinions are irrelevant and do not matter.

The H1B's have invaded the work place at all levels and have been internally lobbying for preference towards H1B candidates and off shoring for years. They don't care about Americans because they aren't Americans themselves.

We have massive layoffs and 85k H1B's coming in every year. WHAT SENSE DOES THAT MAKE!!! It doesn't. There is NO WAY to make it make sense.

If you want your $500k TC or whatever ato last long term and not be devalued, vote for Trump.

Office Prank gone wrong

The guys at my work always do a prank on new starters.

They wait till they've gone for lunch, and the victim comes in to find us all listening to the ‘radio' in shock.

What's actually been played is a fictional podcast dramatising news being reported about a nuclear bomb going off in the states.

Everyone is like ‘OMG', the new starter gets a fright and they we all go ‘wheeeeey'

Hilarious. Right?

Anyway, I am not the ring leader but I did participate.

This was done on a lady yesterday who, we didn't know, has lots of family in Washington DC, the state ‘where the bomb killed everyone'

She went into absolute shock, to the point where we nearly called an ambo.

Luckily the manager calmed her down and got her into a relaxed state but now she has left and is going on about calling the police on all of us.

I am really scared as even though it wasn't my idea I still ‘joined in'

Am I screwed? I'm really worried

How was Furiosa?

Thinking of seeing it. Fury Road was one of the best movies I've ever seen. I think directing/editing has reach a peak in recent years, movies like Fury Road and Dune 2 are able to fill hours while never feeling boring or overwhelming.

So this guy is fed up with Chipotle portions and calls for a review bomb on the app store, getting over 1 million views

https://tiktok.com/t/ZPRKNjJ6L/

This protest gets amplified massively when a popular influencer named Keith Lee gets over 15 million views on a lengthy video pooping on Chipotle and basically claiming they fell off

Our protest guy ups the ante big time by telling people to go in, place an order, and walk out if the portions aren't big enough

https://tiktok.com/t/ZPRKLomAx/

Content creators seize the opportunity for engagement and start walking out on orders regardless of whether the portions are good or not

Guess who introduced the bill.

https://i.rdrama.net/images/1716432123756322.webp

California bill would require new cars to beep at speeding drivers

The California Senate has passed SB 961, which would require “passive speed limiters” to be installed in all new cars manufactured or sold in the Golden State by 2032.

The motion, introduced by Senator Scott Wiener (D-San Francisco), would make California the first state in the nation to enact the safety requirement, which is similar to a law in the European Union that is set to take effect in July.

In the E.U.'s initiative, drivers are “always in control and can easily override” the intelligent speed assistance system.

According to Senator Wiener, California – and America as a whole – have seen a “horrifying spike” in deaths of drivers, pedestrians and cyclists over the years, especially since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic; the California Office of Traffic Safety's 2023 Traffic Safety Report found that deadly crashes involving alcohol and drug-impaired driving, motorcyclist fatalities and teenage driver fatalities all increased from 2020 to 2021.

“These deaths are preventable, and they're occurring because of policy choices to tolerate dangerous roads,” Senator Wiener said in a statement. “The evidence is clear: Rising levels of dangerous speeding are placing all Californians in danger, and by taking prudent steps to improve safety, we can save lives.”

SB 961 would require every passenger vehicle, truck and bus manufactured or sold in California to be equipped with “passive speed governors” by 2032, with a 50% phase-in by 2029.

“Passive speed governors, also referred to as passive Intelligent Speed Assistance…warn drivers with audible and visual signals when they exceed the speed limit by greater than ten miles per hour,” Senator Wiener's office said.

The bill's speed governor requirement does not apply to emergency vehicles, the senator's office added.

SB 961, which passed the Senate by a vote of 22-13 on Tuesday, now moves to the State Assembly, where it must pass by Aug. 31.
