The Tsuiokuhen ova still remains one of the best anime there is, even to this day. I remember seeing it when I was nine and thought it was coolest and deepest shit I've ever seen. Part of me wants to give the manga a chance some day but I'm not sure if it holds up to the animated adaptations. Also funny is that I dropped Evangelion after episode 4 back then and turned into a massive evastrag in my teens.
