Yama no Susume S4 is starting with 4 episodes of recap apparently. Or is it really recap if it's nearly the entire previous seasons? Anyways, I mad.

Bocchi the Rock is cute. Haven't gotten to Do It Yourself yet, but it's on my list as well.

I remember watching this anime (forgot the name) like 3 years ago, it had 12 episodes and episode 7 was a recap of the previous 6. It was shit anyway so I stopped watching. Somehow it recently got a second season, I guess it must have resonated with edgy horny teens.

That happens for a bunch of anime, sometimes it's labeled as 6.5 or something like that. Usually if there's an intersection with a holiday or something like that, but just as often to catch up on the production schedule.

In this case, it's because seasons 1-3 were all 2-8 minute shorts, so S4 is trying to be a new intro point to the series. Going by episode 1, I don't think it's pacing itself well with it so far though, jumping around way too much.

Idk I never had that happen except for that one show, and I watched quite a lot of anime. Sometimes some minor recaps, but never a whole episode that just recycles scenes from the previous 6 episodes.
