RDRAMA LOVES ANIME! Weekly anime post 62

I spend the last two weeks (re)watching DanMachi, which tbh is one of my favorite fantasy anime. I kinda missed that it got a 4th season, but when I saw 2 weeks ago I decided to rewatch it all before watching season 4. I still like it a lot, I even watched the spinoff this time, I dont think I ever watched it before, and it was okay too. I think season 3 is my favorite, but 1 and 2 are great too.

It was nice that in the new season we see some more dungeon, but the second half of the season felt a bit too foreshadowing towards the ending imo. Also that bell refused to let the elf girl kill that one armed fricker even after he admits to being evil and summoning a monster that killed dozens of adventurers is peak anime good guy cringe. At least that dude still died in the end, but cmon.

When they did those visions as foreshadowing I was kinda hoping that they would take the series in a bit of a darker direction, but so far nothing really came of it (except the bait killing of bell, what a relief that he met that mermaid hoe just prior so she can save him). Maybe in the second part of the season it gets a bit more grim, but I doubt it tbh.

Talking about second part, I hate that they split up what should be one season of a show in two parts instead of just releasing it continuously. Idk it just annoys me.

I started watching Ascendance of a Bookworm. I'm only 4 episodes in. I'm intrigued, but not fully committed yet. Idk. It's slow-paced and feels pretty typical so far. I may have watched too many mediocre isekai shows. No further comments since I don't think I've seen enough to do so.

I probably sound like a broken clock by this point but I don't care, I will keep shilling Honzuki no matter what. Please keep watching, at least season 1 and the very least up to ep 6. Yes, It's slow paced, season one covers 3 out of 33 volumes but the next arc gets introduced in ep 13. I don't think it's that typical compared to your usual 12 episode flavor of the season Isekai. Tiny world building spoilers: There are no elves, dwarves or demihumans(catgirls etc.), No harem, well, some joke that she has a harem of dads. The magic system is way different from the typical jRPG/video game mana system used in most isekai. There's no traditional shonen style fights. And there's no ultimate boss/evil demon lord threatening to destroy the world.

There is supposedly an even better episode coming up that the studio was hyping to have 20k frames and is being hyped by the Manga readers.
