>our sociopathic elite heads of state say that the psycho stabbing that woman with the knife does not have a high enough coefficient
It was pretty dumb but entertaining for its sheer insanity. The cops start blasting people, and witnesses freak out, so their crime coefficient goes up, and the cops simply shoot them too.
[Kino death scenes from getting shot by that gun ]
It was dumb, the show had more plot holes than i care to list and the premise was fundamentally stupid, but the hue system was novel, and yeah the gun was rad as frick
I could NOT get over how phoned in the ending was. Suddenly bring up HYPER OATS?
Also the build up to where makishima get rekt by a helmet to the skull was awesome, but the series didnt bother with another arc after
My favorite was where the big bad brain in the jar was like, "oh shit you figured out society is run by literal psychopaths. Ok ok, look, we've kill 5 brains in jars, so we're all good now. Totes trustworthy. N-nothing to see here! "
MC: "Durr, okay!"
Their political economy was interesting. They're practically living in a communist "utopia" so long as you don't get mistaken as a criminal or think about anything bad about government. Too bad the author never really bothered investigating this path or its consequences more closely. None of the characters really fleshed out how all their problems are due to the government. Oh well.
Yeah it left a LOT on the table and the story was awful and they chose to develop the characters in pointless ways. That one girl who used to be a lesbian rocker or w/e, her character arc didn't add much to the show and didn't rly go anywhere
They could have scraped together enough plot elements for a single REALLY good movie
Like i understand using her arc as a way to do more worldbuilding but it's all pointless and we learn more about her than the mc or the villain for no reason
I thought the arc would have ended with the government storming in to crush the subculture (making her run away from it) since aggressive music and styles provoke people's imagination in aggressive "dangerous" directions, raising their coefficients etc.. but that's never expounded upon

The whole thing feels like a first draft rushed out the door tbh, lots of good ideas but the storyline is in complete shambles
