this is manga. Anime is video. manga reads from right to left because Japanese is written right to left. Manga comes from Japan, not Korea.

Haha I'm r-slurred since I wrote Korean and not Japanese there but
Pretty sure you're wrong here for horizontal writing. It's only vertical writing which goes right-to-left in Japanese. Horizontal writing goes left-to-right, from top to bottom, just like in English.
Is it just manga? Like if you pick up the Japanese translation of Harry Potter over there, will it read backwards like manga?

dialogue/text in manga is vertical. i think most books are too
