I did as a kid sometimes because it felt as rebellious as wearing a baseball cap inside. Then I got older and even a full shower rinse of the outsole feels off. I have never-been-outside trainers now, just like I have slippers.

I just prefer to walk around my house in socks. I love the tactile feeling of it much better for shoes.

Socks on carpet and while lounging: god tier. However I don't have carpet most places (hate the hoovering) so I damper my feet instead of the floor.
