The show is about a dude literally reincarnating and starting over as a newborn, so the adult in a child body theme is actually front and center rather than the old "loli never died/grew up and is ackshually 50000 years old!" One of the seasons also concludes with him fricking another 12 year old after having groomed a different child that disappears, hence the drama. The show at least makes a point that the mc is an absolute degenerate and a piece of shit, dude literally has a makeshift shrine worshipping a 200 year old loli's panties.
Doesnt appeal to anime obsessed losers so its not made/popular enough. Its a shame too because some of the best shows are about adults having adult relationships.

You can tell who the midwits are by whether they're able to understand that Rudeus' actions are part of him being a morally flawed character written consistently, or whether they think "anything a character says the author must agree with".
