Koreans React to DJ Soda Groping Incident: ‘Don't Go to Pervert Paradise Japan!'

The popular female DJ, DJ Soda, was groped by fans during her set at an Osaka music festival, and Korean netizens angrily reacted by lambasting Japan for being a “pervert paradise” country.

The sexual harassment incident of DJ Soda, Hwang So Hee, has been widely covered by Korean news outlets, which prompted netizens to voice their anger towards Japan online by once again bringing up the topics of war crimes and “comfort women” while criticizing their neighboring country:

“That country doesn't even have ‘Me Too' there. After all, they are the country that was dragging around s*x slaves on the battlefield during the war.”

Korea has “me too” :marseybooba: ???

“They have the mindset of looking down on Koreans, so they cross the line and break their morals. Moreover, it's a country with low human rights for women. Always be careful in a country that discriminates against other ethnic groups.”

“Sexual harassment isn't a crime in the perverted paradise Japan.”

“That's the kind of place Japan is. It's better not to go. Be careful, foreigners.”

“Oh, it's the sexually advanced country of Japan. S*x crimes are the norm in this country. Must be careful.”

“It is a sexually advanced country. In addition to the systematic sexual assaults by the state, they were making comfort women. That's the kind of country that Japan is.”

“Sexually advanced country doing sexually advanced country things. Problem?”

but Japanese users have dug up questionable posts from the influencer, who was shown wearing “comfort women” apparel while promoting anti-Japanese sentiments.

After the news about DJ Soda getting groped at the music festival, many Japanese were apologetic and blamed Osakans for their poor behavior, but some felt skeptical about her comment singling out Japan as the “only country” the incident has ever happened.

Japanese users not only found images showing the DJ being touched inappropriately in other countries but also found that she's shown wearing apparel depicting “comfort women” on a number of social media posts.

Here's a look at DJ Soda sharing photos in her numerous “RIP comfort women” apparel:

As pointed out by several Internet denizens, some of the photos that DJ Soda posted included links to political articles with heavy anti-Japanese sentiments

While some still feel that the people who inappropriately touched the Korean DJ were in the wrong, others are starting to question whether her cries of sexual abuse were merely a ploy to get attention and paint the Japanese in a bad light. :marseychingchong::marseykamikaze:
